Lover girl

 I'm a lover girl.

Yes, I wear sundresses,

and I paint flowers on my nails,

I wear bows in my hair,

and when all else fails -

You'll see me write in a book,

I'll write poems galore

and draw hearts in the margin

and wish for more -

than a plain old life

with just my dreams and I,

for I need something extra

that won't pass me by -

for I am a lover girl,

and I have so much love to give,

I want to make this life

one that makes me want to live.

I am a lover girl,

I look at the world from a different view,

Rose-tinted glasses taint my vision,

and then all I can see is you.

I am a lover girl,

and I'll find my lover boy soon,

and we'll dance to the beat

of our very own lover tune.

We'll conjure up love

in the path of what is to be.

We'll weave our way together

into the fabric of time duly.

I am a lover girl,

I wear sundresses and bows in my hair,

I'm waiting to share my love,

with my love, in sweet despair.

xoxo
